10th Feb, 24th Feb, 3rd March, 17th March & 24th March 9:30 – 11:30am; Open to all Junior or Adult sailing members, these sessions are aimed at people who have completed the Start Sailing –Dinghy course or are at a higher level of sailing and who want to practice their sailing with rescue boats on the water and a coach to provide tips. All members are encouraged to attend the Elwood Sailing Club Half Yearly General Meeting scheduled for Saturday 16th February 2013 at the club rooms, the meeting should commence around 5pm or possibly a little later if people are still tiding up after sailing.
Elwood Sailing Club is hosting the A Class Open Lightning Championship for International A Class Catamarans on 9th and 10th of February 2013. There will be three races on each day, back to back with a target time of 40mins per race.

This years Top of the Bay regatta will be held at Altona Yacht Club on Saturday 2nd February 2013, if you are interested in representing ESC please contact Rear Commodore Croften Dawson or Club Captain Robert McQuade to register your interest.

Last Friday our website went blank all by itself. We have been working on resolving the issue and are getting closer to working it out. In the meantime we have managed to get the site going using an old default page layout so that you can get to the information you need.

Santa Claus and his helpers will be making their annual visit to Elwood Sailing Club on Saturday 15th December, so be there with you kids, grandkids and their friends to welcome old St. Nick back to ESC.
The party will kick off after sailing around 5pm with some kids games & party food before Santa’s arrival and will be followed by some more substantial fare from the BBQ and Salad Bar, and the good news is it will be free of charge again this year for all you old Scrooges!
Parents please remember to bring a small labeled gift for each child attending as our Santa may not have time to shop beforehand…

The Sailing Instructions for 2012-13 season has been updated as of 10 November 2012.
Elwood Sailing Club is proud to partner with Elwood Primary School to offer free learn to sail courses to grade 3/4 students. Sailing is a sport that fosters independence and self reliance while having fun on the water.
To go in the draw for the free courses, students need to contact their teacher. Who knows? Maybe these kids will be competing for Australia in the 2020 Olympics just like all the great sailors!
