Notice of Annual General Meeting
The Annual General Meeting of the Elwood Sailing Club Inc. will be head at the Elwood Sailing Club on Friday, 12th of July 2024 commencing at 7.00pm
As set out under Rule 30 of the Rules of Elwood Sailing Club Inc. an annual general meeting of members must be convened to:
Message from the Commodore, Mark Foster
All positions on General Committee are declared vacant and require nominations from the membership. If you are considering nominating, please do so but note that all GC members will be required to be active members of committee and be prepared to apply themselves to the betterment of the club and membership value. It is crucial that ESC has a strong & active General Committee.
I have nominated for the position of Commodore for the 2024-2025 financial year, however I welcome others to nominate for Commodore and thus allow the membership to choose.
Please see the attached Nomination and Proxy Vote forms.
At this point in time ESC does not have any elected Flag Officers serving on GC. Most of the current elected GC members have chosen not to renominate. The AGM will be the initial and important step for the revitalization of Elwood Sailing Club Inc for the coming years. I would appreciate all members attendance and participation on Friday 12th July 2024 commencing at 7PM
Thanks & Regards
Mark Foster

Dear Members,
INVITATION
Williamstown Sailing Club, as the Organising Authority and on behalf of the Trustees, invites Albert Park Yacht Club Albert Sailing Club, Altona Yacht Club, Elwood Sailing Club, Port Melbourne Yacht Club, Williamstown Sailing Club (Host Club), Hobsons Bay Yacht Club Royal Yacht Club of Victoria and Royal Melbourne Yacht Squadron (the “Participating Clubs”) to participate in the Top of the Bay Interclub Challenge to be conducted on the waters of Port Phillip on Saturday 10th February 2024.
Please see the NOR – Regattas – Williamstown Sailing Club
As you are aware ESC is holding the Lightening Regatta on Saturday 10 Feb so there are choices to be made.
Next season will be ESC’s 100 Year celebration year and the Committee has advised that the Top of The Bay regatta will be hosted by ESC in 2025. I feel that to help ensure a good turn up at the Top Of The Bay Regatta in 2025, ESC members should support and attend the Regatta on Saturday at Williamstown SC. “Miss Adventure” is going and we will probably trail the boat to Williamstown. However, the course will most likely be in the vicinity of Port Melbourne Yacht Club which is not a long sail from Elwood beach.
Please consider where you wish to sail on Saturday and support ESC, especially in our centenary year.
Regards
Mark Foster
