Top of The Bay Interclub Challenge 2015 – Sat 7 Feb 2015
Elwood Sailing Club is once again participating in the 2015 TOP of the Bay Interclub Challenge. This year Port Melbourne Yacht Club as organising authority is hosting the event and ESC is requesting a large turn out of club members to compete and also support PMYC’s 125th Anniversary year.

Proposed Plan for Club Renovation
All club members are invited to a short 30 minute information session after sailing to discuss the proposed plan to renovate the clubhouse.

ISAF Sailing World Cup – Melbourne Dinner
ESC members are invited to attend the ISAF Sailing World Cup – Melbourne Dinner on Tuesday 9th December commencing at 6:30 pm. The cost is $135 per person or $130 p/p if we can get a table of 10 together, so join Commodore Mark Foster and other ESC luminaries and make a night of it.
If you are interested in making up a table please register your interest ASAP with Brett Nangle at manager@elwoodsc.com
Sail Melbourne is also looking for volunteers to assist with the event between Monday 8th – Monday 15th December, so if you would be interested in helping out please register here. Not too many of us will ever qualify to race in the World Cup, but that should not stop us from taking part!

2014-2015 Season Calendar – 29 Sep 14 update
Working Bee – Saturday 20th September @ 9am
It’s time to blow away the cobwebs and get the clubrooms ready for the new season, so we will be meeting at the clubrooms at 9 am on Saturday 20th September for a general clean up, wash down and chuck out session to be followed by a BBQ for lunch.
Bring along your work or garden tools, brooms, gloves etc
Come for an hour or three, whatever you can spare.
Race Official Courses

Have you ever wondered what all the flags on the start boat mean? Would you like to learn?
Yachting Victoria are running Race Official courses at various levels throughout spring and early summer, so if you are interested to learn and to be of assistance to the club in conducting sailing events please follow the link and you too will know what happens when they drop the blue peter!
