First, please check the availability of you preferred dates on the ESC Venue Hire Availability Calendar ; Please note that on most Saturdays during our sailing season (early October through to late April), the venue will be in use by the club and therefore only available for booking by ESC members for Saturday evening functions.
Our upstairs function area is well equipped with fantastic views of Port Phillip Bay from Brighton to Williamstown.
ESC provides an excellent venue for professionally or self catered weddings, engagements, birthdays, batmitzvah and barmitzvah’s, christmas and breakup parties, company promotions and offsites, training and information forums, community and sporting group functions and fundraising events. (Sorry – we don’t hire for after schools functions, 18th or 21st birthdays)
You will be able to accommodate up to 200 people for stand up buffets or 150 people seated.
Our facilities include:
- Bar area with bar fridge with 2 1/2 sections for the hirer to use.
- 100 chairs, 10 trestle tables (8-10 people) and 10 round tables (4 -6 people).
- Kitchen with electric oven and pie warmer to keep food hot, Microwave, urn, refrigerator.
- One Female and One Male toilet.
- Outdoor BBQ and patio up stairs.
- Gas heating and ceiling fans.

Catering and Liquor Licensing
You may provide your own catering or engage a professional caterer. If you would like to consume alcoholic drinks in the venue you can either use the ESC function bar service or, if you wish to provide and supply your own liquor to your guests, you will need to apply for a temporary Liquor Licence (Apply for a Temporary Limited Licence Online here or from the Department of Justice Victoria website).
Please note that the Department of Justice requires the application to be lodged at least 8 weeks before your function and our Venue Hire rep will need to view your liquor licence before commencing your function and you will need to display the licence in the bar area during the function.
