This will allow better interaction between members, and allow us to run more easily the secret ballot which will be required due to the number of members nominating for the General Committee.<br \/>\u00a0<br \/>This Notice contains information on the meeting and what you need to do if you wish to attend or nominate a proxy, or nominate for the General Committee.<br \/>\u00a0<br \/><strong>AGM Attendance and Proxy Form<\/strong><br \/>\u00a0<br \/>To attend and vote at the AGM you must be a current financial member. Senior, Family Senior, Family Partner, Life, and Junior members are entitled to vote at the meeting; Associate Members are not.<br \/>\u00a0<br \/>If you do not plan to attend the meeting and are entitled to vote you may appoint another member as your proxy using an <a href=\"https:\/\/www.elwoodsc.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/08\/Proxy-Form-2022-AGM.pdf\"><u>AGM Proxy Form<\/u> (click for link).<\/a> Please email your proxy to <a href=\"mailto:secretary@elwoodsc.com\">secretary@elwoodsc.com<\/a> , or hand or send by mail to the manager.<br \/>\u00a0<br \/><strong>AGM Agenda<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<!--more-->\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Confirm attendance, proxies, quorum, and meeting agenda.<\/li><li>Confirm <a href=\"https:\/\/www.elwoodsc.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/08\/Draft-Minutes-of-ESC-AGM-12-Aug-2021.pdf\"><u>Minutes of the 2021 AGM<\/u> (click for link).<\/a><\/li><li>Receive committee reports.<\/li><li>Receive and consider the annual financial statements.<\/li><li>Motions: In accordance with Club Rule 53.1<ul><li>Motion 1 \u2013 In addition to the five\u00a0officer positions\u00a0of the Association, this meeting approves the election of five ordinary members to the General Committee for the next year.<\/li><\/ul><\/li><li>Election of General Committee for 2022 &#8211; 23.<\/li><li>General Business.<\/li><li>Close of meeting.<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Note: The Treasurer will review the 2021-22 accounts at the AGM. If you would like to receive a confidential copy of the 2021-22 financial statements in advance of the AGM, please email <a href=\"mailto:secretary@elwoodsc.com\">secretary@elwoodsc.com<\/a>. A copy will be sent to you when the statements are available.<br \/><strong>Nominations for General Committee<\/strong><br \/><br \/>The General Committee is planning to continue having 10 members: 3 Flag Officers (Commodore, Vice Commodore, Rear Commodore), Treasurer and Secretary, and 5 Ordinary Committee Members.<br \/><br \/>If you would like to be a member of GC you are welcome to nominate for any position. To be a committee member you must be a Senior, Family Senior, Family Partner, or Life member. If there is more than one nomination for any of the positions of Flag Officer, Treasurer, or Secretary there will be an AGM secret ballot for that position to decide the matter. If there are more than 5 nominations for Ordinary Committee Member there will be an AGM secret ballot to decide the matter.<br \/>A member may propose themselves, or with the members consent, be nominated by another member. Nominations are accepted up until the election for a position, however, it would be appreciated if a completed<a href=\"https:\/\/www.elwoodsc.com\/blog\/wp-admin\/upload.php?item=7266\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\"> <\/a><a href=\"https:\/\/www.elwoodsc.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/08\/ESC-GC-Nomination-form-2022-AGM.pdf\"><u>ESC General Committee Nomination Form<\/u>\u00a0(click for link) <\/a>could be emailed to <img decoding=\"async\" src=\"blob:https:\/\/www.elwoodsc.com\/e6a1c183-3f5e-4e2e-8e29-3937e9647322\" alt=\"Anchor\"\/><a href=\"mailto:secretary@elwoodsc.com\">secretary@elwoodsc.com<\/a> by Wednesday August 31<sup>st<\/sup>.<br \/>Please note that if you nominate to join the General Committee, you must meet the requirements in the club rules and be able to commit to monthly meetings and a workload.<br \/>\u00a0<br \/><strong>COVID Precautions<\/strong><br \/>It is strongly recommended that members attending the meeting wear a mask.
