End of Season BBQ Saturday 27th April

aquila-ll-main-pfoto

It’s autumn, the days are getting shorter and the leaves are turning gold so its almost time to pack away the sailing gear for the season and head to the footy! (or for us Demons supporters to get our skis waxed :( … )

winter sailing

To celebrate the close of another race season, Sally Richardson has us eschewing the traditional charred bangers and is promising to put on a spread of finger food delights free of charge, so we want to see all our ESC members and their family & friends come along after sailing (around 4:30 – 5:30pm or earlier if it’s blown out) and get into our selection of high class hors d’oeuvres (I’m particularly partial to a devil on horseback) at the annual ESCEoSSBBQ.

The bar will be open from 1pm, so be there early to get the best spot on the deck and remember to bring your gold toothpick!

Elwood Sailing Club is now on Facebook!

facebook-like-buttonHave a look at our new Facebook page for regular updates on what’s happening around the club and, if you have a Facebook account, feel free to “like” what you see.

For those who who don’t have a Facebook account and have no intention of letting the world know our shoe size, we set up a link to the page that will let you view it without giving away all your trifling secrets!

ESC Christmas Party Saturday 15th December

Santa Claus and his helpers will be making their annual visit to Elwood Sailing Club on Saturday 15th December, so be there with you kids, grandkids and their friends to welcome old St. Nick back to ESC.

The party will kick off after sailing around 5pm with some kids games & party food before Santa’s arrival and will be followed by some more substantial fare from the BBQ and Salad Bar, and the good news is it will be free of charge again this year for all you old Scrooges!

Parents please remember to bring a small labeled gift for each child attending as our Santa may not have time to shop beforehand…
